One of the pieces within Celtic symbols in jewellery would be the Trinity Knot, a direct representation of the three goddesses for neo-pagans and the holy trinity for Christians. The story behind the goddesses is believed to empower mortals to practice and live a moral life; just like any religious belief, these gods and goddesses are superior and would have encapsulated within them the powers we do not have.

The goddess that we would like to learn about further today would be Rhiannon; she is the goddess of forgiveness, which is something that we can believe would be very timely for today’s society. Allow us to share with you the story of Rhiannon.

The moon goddess of the Celts It is said that Rhiannon was born during the first Moonrise, which made her the Fairy Queen. The great Goddess of many identities: she is the goddess of reproduction, reincarnation, knowledge and understanding, miracles, transformation, beauty, artistic inspiration, and poetry.

The faeries who tend to Rhiannon manifest as beautiful young women dressed in gold and riding pale horses. They are accompanied by singing birds as they go about their duties. While the singing birds can wake the sleeping, they also can help mortals fall asleep.

Most of what we know about Her is derived from the Welsh collection of ancient tales called The Mabinogion by Lady Charlotte Guest.

In our riding one day, Lord Powell of the Empire of Dyfed happened upon a breathtakingly beautiful woman wearing gold while riding a white horse. However fast he raced, Powell could not catch up to Rhiannon, no matter how hard he tried. After that, Powell yelled out at Her, and She finally stopped. When he inquired, Rhiannon responded that he only had to request Her to cease her elusiveness. Powell and Rhiannon were married, and they had a son they named Pryderi. On the sunset of May Eve, this same infant's nurse-maids fell asleep on the same night that Pryderi's nanny dropped off.

Teyrnon hacked off his sword with his remaining hand, saving the foal. When Teyrnon looked out of the house, he found no one. When he returned to the barn, he found a beautiful newborn son, and they adopted him. They noticed that the child was fascinated by horses, had incredible abilities, and looked almost identical to Powell. The boy, Powell, and Rhiannon's son were discovered by Teyrnon, who inferred that the child was theirs and thus decided to return him to his parents. Teyrnon finished his story, explaining how and why the child was spotted, and Rhiannon was cleared of all charges and reinstated as queen in the palace.

The story of Rhiannon demonstrates that to effect change; we must use truth, patience, and love.

The myth tells us how we would easily judge or ridicule people for their mistakes and that Rhiannon shows us that the only way to forgive is through the utmost vitality of love and patience. She could have done anything in her power to prove that she wasn’t guilty of taking her son’s life, but instead, she accepted what was brought upon her and patiently waited for the truth to set her free. In the end, justice was served, and she is now celebrated and adored.

The beauty behind Celtic Jewellery pieces is that it is more than just an added piece to your overall look, it also allows you to express your values and beliefs easily.
